Dakota Cassidy is the daughter of Michael and Cathy Cassidy. She has been an athlete in
Varsity Cross Country, Varsity Basketball, and Varsity Track all four years of high school.
Dakota was a state qualifier freshman to senior year in Cross Country and placed 7th her junior
year. She also qualified for state in the 1600 meter run her junior year and finished 5th. Dakota
has been an active UIL participant through high school in various events, including One Act Play
her freshman year. She is also an NHS member. Dakota is the Communications Coordinator
through Meridian ISD’s FCA program. Over the years, Dakota has participated in several forms
of community service such as Mission Meridian, Catholic Heart Work Camp, Carter Blood Drive,
and volunteering at Luthern Sunset Ministries in Clifton, TX. After graduation, Dakota plans to
attend Southern Arkansas University to pursue a degree in Ag Business while continuing her
running career in cross country and track. Her favorite high school memory is when she made it
to state as a part of the Varsity Cross Country team with her best friends. Having the chance to
compete at that level with a team of girls she became very close with greatly impacted her and
her running career. From playing cards in the hotel room to going out to eat as a team, Dakota
will always remember the fun times the team had while competing at the state championship as
well as throughout the season.

academic UIL, Andrea earned 1st place in district for Editorial writing in year 3. In OAP, Andrea
has received 3 medals as an outstanding crew member. In her free time, Andrea likes to watch
TikTok if she isn't working. After graduation Andrea plans on attending Tarleton State University to
study psychology. Andrea's favorite memory from High School was every day in dual credit
when Mrs. Wilkins walked up to me and gave me "the look" and made me do my work. She is
the only reason that I passed any of my college classes.
