The Meridian Athletic Program is hosting a "Pass the Bucket" through the crowds this Friday, September 27th, at the volleyball and football games to collect donations for our own Lady Jacket, Avery Lira! Avery is a 6th grade student at Meridian Junior High, who was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on July 19th. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments and will have surgery to remove her left tibia at a later time. The Meridian Band of Gold Boosters have graciously donated the buckets and are allowing us to place a bucket at the concession stand.

Meridian Community! We are excited that we will be able to resume with the Homecoming parade, with a slight adjustment in our parade route. Please note the new route will start at the Methodist church at 7 PM and end at the High School Gym for the community pep rally beginning immediately following the parade.

After evaluating the weather conditions, conditions of the field, and the amount of water in the parking lot, the decision has been made to move the Community Pep Rally to the High School gym. There will also be no parade. This decision was made in the best interest of our student athletes, band members, and HOCO court. We will still recognize all of the Homecoming Court, athletes, and businesses (if you signed up for the parade) during the pep rally in the gym tonight at 7 p.m.
