Outstanding job by our Yellowjackets and Lady Jackets today at the Regional Track Meet! We are STATE BOUND in the 4x100 M Relay, 4x400 M Relay and John Bernal is STATE BOUND in the 100 M! Dustin Padgett made the podium in the 400 with a 3rd place finish as did our 4x200. Very proud of all of our athletes that competed hard today! Way to "Win the Day"!

Due to potential severe weather, the Regional Track Meet with resume tomorrow. Please see the attachment for the schedule. There will be timed heats for the 400, 300H, 200, and 4x400. The bus will leave at 7:30 am tomorrow morning and the gym will be open at 7:00.
Letter Jacket forms were sent home yesterday with students that qualified to receive one. Letter Jacket fitting will be in the HS cafeteria @ 12:15 on Monday May 8th. Parents are welcome to attend. The school will purchase the jacket and one letter. Any extra patches or letters will be the responsibility of the student/parent. If your student has previously received a letter jacket and would like to purchase patches or letters they may do that on May 8th as well. Payment will be due on May 8th.
Due to the incoming rain, the running events have been moved up at the Regional Track Meet. They will begin 30 minutes after field events have concluded and will be on a rolling schedule.
Updated Regional Track schedule. Due to weather concerns in Whitney they have pushed the events up for Friday. All regional track participants, the bus will be leaving at 7 am, the gym will be open at 6:30.

All meals for guests are by pre-order only. Please return the bottom of the attached order form to the MHS office by May 12th. ($10) Meal ticket includes: 1 Hamburger, baked beans, drink, and a dessert.

Happy Secretary's Appreciation Day! We appreciate Mrs. Carter, who keeps MES running smoothly.
The Athletic Department will kickoff a Fundraiser with TeamFunded on Monday May 1st to purchase much needed items such as workout clothes, sweats, travel suits, bumper plates for the weightroom, scorers table for the gymnasium and scoreboards for the baseball and softball complexes. We will have a kickoff meeting for our athletes on Monday 1st @ 10:20am in the MHS cafeteria. Parents are welcome to attend.
Today a group of high school students attended National Trio Day at Tarleton State University.
The students toured campus, took home some cool swag, collaborated with other Trio students from surrounding schools, had a great lunch and heard from some amazing speakers. It was a great day!
Second grade enjoyed a day away and a trip to the Ft Worth Science and History Museum.
