This week we’ve celebrated the joy of reading with shared books, wacky dress-up days, and green eggs to finish the week.
Who says Dr. Seuss books are just for in the classroom? Mrs. Martin and Ms. Childers played Dr. Seuss games in the gym this week.

Next week at MES, we will be celebrating Read Across America Week and Dr. Suess' Birthday by dressing up each day. We will continue promoting a love for reading with our students everyday and encourage you to do the same. Be on the lookout for a note coming home with tips for guiding and helping your children become lifelong readers.
Considering all factors, including current and anticipated road conditions and continued low temperatures, Meridian ISD will be closed on Thursday, February 24. Temperatures are not expected to be above freezing until after lunch on Thursday so we will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions..
Classes are set to resume at their regular time on Friday, February 25.
